Quickstart
Welcome to the Artemis Developer Preview. This early release gives you access to our guided workflow for improving code with AI — covering planning, structured tasks, safe execution, and scanning.
Artemis works best when you bring your existing code, whether it is legacy, messy, AI-generated, or simply in need of improvement.
You may notice a few unfinished edges. We're building this with you, and your feedback is what helps us decide what to fix, polish, and ship next 🙂
1. Start Here: Connect Your Code
Crucial: Artemis requires a loaded project to function. You cannot access Scan, Plan, or Tasks until a repository or zip file is imported. Your code stays yours.

🔒 Your Code & Data Safety
- Artemis never modifies your repo directly.
- Every change happens in a safe, isolated branch inside our server sandbox. You review everything before it touches your actual codebase.

2. Choose Your Workflow
Once you've signed in and loaded a repo, the full platform unlocks. Choose one of the paths below to see Artemis in action.
The Planner
Best for refactoring or building new features.
- Click Plan and answer the short Discovery Q&A.
- Review and approve the structured plan generated by Artemis.
- Assign right-sized Tasks with clear success criteria to AI (or yourself).
- Review the ChangeSet in the sandbox before merging.
Scan and Fix
Best for finding bugs, outdated patterns, and fragile code.
- Open your repo and click Scan.
- Review the ranked findings.
- Apply clean fixes instantly with One Click Fix.
- Use Plan and Fix for more complex issues.
IDE Extensions
Best for developers who want to stay in their IDE.
- Install the VS Code Extension - Learn more
- Install the Cursor Extension (coming soon)- Learn more
- Use the Planner directly in your IDE to structure work.
- Move tasks into the web platform when you are ready for safe execution.
3. Credits and Usage
We have started you off with a generous balance to test the preview.
- Initial Balance: $100.00
- Daily Top-up: Auto top-up to $10 when you're under $10 (limit 1/day)
This covers typical usage. High consumption activities include scanning very large repositories, using high-resource models, or running multi-step improvements.
